Alexandra Water Warriors community-driven non-profit company with an ambition to rehabilitate the Jukskei River and aggressively promotes water resource conservation. Aww's goal is to lessen the consequences of climate change by providing the community with the information and tools it needs to save the environment and provide job opportunities.
We have 10 teams that clean the Jukskei River twice a week, Monday through Friday.
We have been removing around 250 litter bags from the Jukskei River every day since September 2021.
We recycle river garbage to help minimize waste and protect natural resources.
We are a community-based organization, and our mission is driven by the people who live in the community.
With over 250 volunteers, We are committed to rehabilitating the Jukskei River in South Africa. Divided into 9 teams, the volunteers work tirelessly 2 days a week, Monday through Sunday, to protect and clean the river.
