AWW's Waste Management Program is dedicated to promoting environmental sustainability and responsible waste management practices in the Alexandra community. Through a range of initiatives, we strive to reduce waste, increase recycling rates, and create a cleaner, healthier environment for all.

Through a range of initiatives, we strive to reduce waste, increase recycling rates, and create a cleaner, healthier environment for all.Our program includes waste collection services for households, businesses, and public spaces, ensuring that waste is disposed of properly and efficiently.

In addition to collection and recycling, AWW offers education and awareness programs to inform residents about the importance of waste management and recycling. Through workshops, seminars, and community outreach initiatives, we empower individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to reduce waste and recycle responsibly.

We also operate recycling stations at convenient locations, including an E-waste drop-off station at River Park donated by ERP Waste Association of South Africa and a Recycling Station at The Hub, 1652 Springbok Crescent, donated by Coca-Cola.

These stations allow residents to safely dispose of electronic waste, plastics, paper, and glass, diverting valuable resources from landfills.AWW also promotes waste segregation and sorting practices to maximize recycling efforts and minimize environmental impact. By encouraging residents to separate recyclable materials from general waste, we help divert recyclables from landfills and promote a circular economy.
