AWW's innovative Litter Trap Program, a collaborative initiative aimed at tackling plastic pollution and preserving our waterways. In partnership with leading academic institutions such as UJ and Wits, as well as the Nanima Foundation, we are pioneering solutions to combat litter and protect our environment.

Our Litter Trap Program involves the installation of specially designed litter traps along rivers and water bodies to capture floating debris, particularly plastic waste. These traps utilize advanced technology and strategically placed barriers to intercept litter before it reaches downstream ecosystems, preventing harm to aquatic life and preserving the health of our rivers.
